  • Nepal to play friendly football with India

Kathmandu: The Nepali football team is scheduled to play two friendly matches against India next month.

According to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), Nepal will play a friendly match against India on September 3 and 4. Both the games will be played at Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwor. The Indian Football Association has proposed to Anfas for a friendly match. The proposal has been accepted by ANFA.

Nepal has also put forward a proposal to host the 13th South Asian Football Championship (SAAF). Before the tournament, Nepal is going to play friendly football with India.

Nepal has expressed interest in hosting the tournament after Bangladesh said it could not host the fair due to the Corona epidemic.

ANFA has sent a letter to SAAF to hold the 13th edition of SAAF Championship in Nepal next October. Nepal has already organized the SAAF Championship in 1997 and 2013.
