    Sakela –It is currently forbidden to drive a 10-wheeler truck weighing 21-tons through the Sakela highway to transport the chopped trees. According to the report, the newly built highway roads were in unsafe condition, thus on February 11, 2024, the Sakela authorities made the decision to maintain the roads. Recently, the Sakela executive members voted to forbid the transportation of large, loaded trucks that weigh 21 tons to load the wood that has been chopped inside the area for further removal.

    If someone is discovered to be breaking the regulation, the authorities would impose a stiff fine of 20,000 Rupees. The trucks and tippers with six and ten wheels, weighing fifteen and twenty-one tons, that were used to load the woods from Sakela are now completely forbidden from entering the area, per the choices taken during the meeting. Likewise, the members also determined about the roadways that are harmed, the created drains that are damaged during the wood loading technique would undoubtedly be collected as per the estimation of the engineers from the business owners.

    Mayor Mr. Rabi Prakash Rai said, “The municipality’s roads have very little capacity for withstanding the impact of loaded trucks, so in order to keep the roads in a favorable condition, he decided to take the major step for the betterment of the development. He primarily points out the profit that the business owner earns and the loss that the municipality faces Furthermore, the business owners pay 2000 interest to the government while, they make a loss to the government for about crores. He persuaded the members not to take materialism over the sustainability of the government.” The tippers were permitted to transport the cargoes from Ward 1 to Ward 2 along the highways prior to the decision being reached.
