Sakela- a tourism area consisting of religious and traditional belief to be constructed at Sakela Rural Municipality Tawabhanjyang, Khotang which is believed to be the very first ever innovative idea of Sakela recently has become controversial as Mayor Mr. Rabi Prakash Rai stated that the residential people in responsible position are coming forward to fail the certain deeds. He pointed out the major economical state of Sakela. The project is supposed to have the religious and traditional spot of every caste, culture, tradition and moreover about the existence of the humanity which now has turned to be one of the reasons for the people with selfishness to fulfill their interests to make the project unsuccessful and make the mayor himself fail about his visions for the residents.
Mr. Rai stated this while speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the curriculum promotion training organized by the Education Development and Coordination
Unit, Khotang and Sakela rural municipality from Wednesday in the community hall of the rural municipality. In addition to this statement mayor strictly stated, “ We are building the future of Sakela but some people are washing their hands to prevent development, they are trying to terminate the budget- he has requested all the residents not to fall for the unreasonable behavior of such anti-development people and come together to support the good deeds of the authorities and build a prosperous Sakela by defeating those opponents of development.” Regardless of the anti-development people, the mayor talked about the DPR (Detailed Project Report) of Tawabhanjyang being ready which now is ready to be implemented.
This year through the effort of specific individuals who support the future of Sakela villagers, the rural municipality has received many development budgets, mentioning that some budget has also been received for the construction of Tawabhanjyang. Chairman Rai urged all the parties to work simultaneously in the campaign to build a prosperous Sakela by working hand in hand in the development phase instead of obstructing every developmental work within the village area.
Chairman rai stated that Sakela Rural Municipality is working in a different way from the other local levels and said that only with the cooperation of all the parties, the overall work in education, health, physical construction, sanitation, and other areas will be excellent. He emphasized that practical and moral education should be started, saying that the educational quality will not increase by merging schools, adding service facilities to the teachers, and building physical infrastructure.
More than 90 teachers have participated in the curriculum promotion training conducted with the aim of developing the capacity of teachers who are teaching 5-8 and 10 in which Shital Rai, the head teacher of Sarawati Mavi mattim, is promoting English, Rajendra Shrestha, a teacher of the same Mavi, is promoting mathematics and Dhan Bahadur Rokay is promoting social subjects, Mahesh khatri, a teacher of Siddheshwari Mavi, is promoting science and Uttara Rai, a teacher of the same Mavi, is promoting Nepali subjects, informed Kabiraj Rai, the education branch coordinator of the rural municipality. It is said that the training will end tomorrow Thursday.
