Sakela Mayor Mr. Rabi Prakash Rai on Feb-7 has celebrated his birthday bash by sharing moment of happiness with little ones in the school which is rarely seen in any areas. Mr. Rai has devoted his political career towards sakela and has donated his full earning by buying more than 220 LCD writing tablets for the children in playgroups around sakela.

On the auspicious day the practice to giveaway important stuff has been remarked as first ever practice that is done among all the 753 local governments . sakela has been remarked as first ever government at local level to leave footprints of positivity regarding the digital education.

First, Mr. Rai presented the tablets to CHANDESHWORI ADHARBHUT VIDHYALAYA, the Ward 1 learning center where he had learned his first letters and taken his first step towards education. In addition, he had an acquaintance, Mr. Heman Rai, a ward official, there to commemorate his day. The head principal and parents attended and supported the occasion. Additionally, Mr. Rai expressed his support for the reconstruction of Chandeshwori and Saraswati Adharbhut Vidhyalaya, the school where he received his initial education.

The mayor says that “a strong foundation base is necessary to make a strong pillar,” and since education is the base, he has given the LCD tablets for improvement as well as the first step toward modernizing education. The mayor gave the remaining tablets to the sakela head of education, who will subsequently distribute them to the headmasters of the other schools, for the playgroup kids. He feels that the importance of education should be taught at a very young age of children by teachers, including the use of modern technology. As a result, the government of sakela has decided to establish a modern, friendly, and technologically sound school education system that would be suitable for everyone and create a society of literate people.

In addition to giving out LCD writing tablets on this auspicious day, Mr. Rai also gave out wheelchairs to two disabled residents of ward-2: MRS. Chandrakala Rai, 53 years old and Miss Shristi Rai, aged 7. After paying them a visit at their home, he turned over the wheelchair.
